Activity Report 2017
Dear Sir or Madam,
dear club members,
Section 7 of the association’s statutes stipulates that a general meeting must be called at least once a year. The board of directors complied with this on time, within the deadline and in the correct form this year. In the past 2016 financial year, the association’s board of directors held a general meeting on August 20, 2017 in Düsseldorf.
The purpose of the association is to promote education and upbringing through the ideological and financial support of the Midnight Sun International School, Box 79, Walewale, Ghana.
The association exclusively and directly pursues non-profit purposes within the meaning of the section “tax-privileged purposes” of the tax code (Section 58 No. 1 AO), namely by raising funds and donations, carrying out public relations work and advertising of all kinds for the association.
In 2017, we received donations totaling €13,342.43. The total came from 49 individual donors.
In 2017, WSP engineers donated €1,500 to drill a well. There was another 50th birthday for which donations were made. This time, donors donated directly to the association’s account. We transferred €12,214.00 to Ghana in 2016.
