Computer donation for Ghana: Small commitment – big gain
Many thanks to the Conteam Group from Mainz for the generous donation of computers to the Midnight Sun School in Langbinsi.
Now we still need funds to install a power supply and build a lockable classroom where the computers can be stored safely. We would be delighted if you could support this project.
The tireless efforts of the Friends of the Midnight Sun International School Langbinsi in Ghana (www.midnightsunschool.de) give many children a better start to their future through education.
We at the Conteam Group find this commitment really great and therefore naturally worthy of support.
We are all the more pleased to be able to make a small contribution to this educational initiative. We recently donated 19 computers that were no longer needed, including software and over 20 monitors, to the chairwoman of the association, Sabine Valentin. These will soon be transported to Ghana.
A technician will install the computers in the school and familiarize the pupils with the first steps, supported by Sabine Valentin.
For us, one of the largest owner-managed communications agencies in Germany, this is a small commitment, but for the children in Ghana it is a huge gain. The previous dry runs with computer drawings and theoretical instructions are now finally becoming reality for the pupils at Midnight Sun International School.
What needs to be done first is to install a power supply and build a lockable classroom where the computers can be stored safely. We would be delighted if other companies were also inspired by the idea and supported this project or future plans of the Friends’ Association.
We are already looking forward to the first pictures showing the pupils of Midnight Sun International School using the computers – including the children’s shining eyes.
